About  AmerisourceBergen:

As one of the country’s largest pharmaceutical distributors, AmerisourceBergen is uniquely situated to support to optimize and modernize the VA’s supply chain program.  We are well positioned to leverage our vast distribution network and advanced tools for inventory forecasting and management to adjust inventory products and volumes by cycling product through the commercial supply channel and avoid unnecessary product expiration. In 2021, we expanded our core distribution services into additional global markets, giving us first-hand experience with the complexity and global nature of the pharmaceutical and other materials supply chain.

We have our finger on the pulse of the commercial pharmaceutical supply chain. Through our daily operations, AmerisourceBergen makes over 5 million deliveries annually to more than 60,000 sites of care (hospitals, pharmacies, physicians, and clinics). We have set up our infrastructure to best identify trends and demand spikes which enables us to predict and proactively address deployment needs to our 250,000 plus delivery locations.

AmerisourceBergen’s sourcing team works with over 1,350 pharmaceutical manufacturers every day. Sourcing teams closely monitor the supply chain for potential impacts to ensure we dynamically manage our inventory levels to carry right products in the right amounts to support patients in need of treatment. We welcome the opportunity to continue to work with the U.S. Government to utilize our core expertise in supply chain management to meet the dynamic pharmaceutical demands of the VA.
