Time: By confirmed appointment only, 45-minute virtual demonstration sessions from 10:00am – 4:00pm ET

Format: Virtual session powered by Cisco Webex with audio and video capability.

REGISTRATION NOTE:

  • Completing registration does NOT guarantee the scheduling of a virtual
    demonstration session with HCSC.
  • You must fully complete the entire registration process, inclusive of answering all of the technical requirements questions, followed by clicking “submit” to be considered by HCSC for a virtual demonstration.
  • Selection and session scheduling is at the sole discretion of HCSC.

Overview

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Human Resources and Administration (HRA), Human Capital Services Center (HCSC), in collaboration with the Direct Access Program, will host a virtual vendor demonstration event focused on providing the small business community an opportunity to present their capabilities as they relate to the Business Sectors, NAICS, and Capabilities listed below.

Goals and Outcomes for this event

· Upon completion of all the demonstrations, the HCSC would like to have several viable options when selecting a new Learning Content Management System (LCMS).

· Provide in-depth demonstrations for HCSC participants. This would give the VA a scope of what systems are available and what services the participating companies can provide.

· Ensure all HCSC participants’ technical questions about each system have been addressed.

HCSC seeks information from companies with a learning management system that encompasses the following capabilities:

· The ability for content developers to create courses with multiple custom viewers in a user friendly and intuitive application (i.e., wrappers).

· The ability to import and export native content for editing and disbursement.

· The ability for content developers and SMEs to review and resolve lesson deficiencies.

· The ability to quickly develop content objects and courses within the LCMS using any combination of new material and existing content objects or templates (in all media forms).

· The ability for content developers to archive existing online course components (Sharable Content Objects [SCOs]) within the LCMS for developers to repurpose or modify and combine with newly created SCOs to form online courses.

· The ability for content developers to create and archive content and templates within the LCMS at varying levels of granularity to make the retrieval of very specific content components readily available to developers and to online course users for real-time, ad hoc performance support.

· The ability for content developers to develop content that adheres to all content. communications standards (e.g., AICC, SCORM, or other).

· The ability for content developers to test developed content against Section 508 standards through a checker that highlights potential compliance issues for remediation.

· The ability for multiple developers to collaborate on content or templates simultaneously.

· The ability to develop objects and courses that include assessment elements, interactive elements, rich media elements, and text elements.

· The ability for developers to format content using a tool that allows page breaks, hard breaks, and special characters in various forms within the system (i.e., what you see is what you get [WYSIWIG]) with a preview feature.

· The ability for developers to build mobile courseware.

· The ability for enterprise solution managers to archive content files for the time span determined by legal requirements (NARA).

· The ability to autogenerate master templates such as agenda (learning plan), participant guide and instructor guide based on content developed/input.

· The ability to auto-populate course record document templates based on initial data entry of the course record in LCMS (Enter information once, saved in multiple locations… title, description, objectives, etc.).

· The ability for content developers to develop objects and courses with cross browser output functionality (i.e. Chrome, Edge, Safari, IE)
